Public Notice is hereby given that the Council of the Corporation of the City of Cranbrook is considering adopting "City of Cranbrook Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 3960, 2019".
The proposed zoning amendment will amend Section 4.21 regulations for Cannabis retail by deleting the minimum separation distance between cannabis retail stores of 30 metres in the C-1, Community Commercial Zone (downtown and 50 metres in the C-2, Highway Commercial Zone (highway corridor).
The purpose of the proposed bylaw amendment is to reduce unnecessary regulations for recreational cannabis retail sales within the City’s commercial zones.
"City of Cranbrook Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 3960, 2019" may be inspected between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, up until February 25th, 2019, as posted on the bulletin board in the foyer at City Hall, or in the office of the City Planner.
The Public Hearing will commence in the Council Chamber, City Hall, 40 - 10 Avenue South at 6:00 p.m. on February 25th, 2019.
All persons who believe that their interest in property is affected by the proposed Bylaw Amendment may submit written presentations to the City of Cranbrook prior to the date of the Hearing and they may also submit written and/or verbal presentations at the Hearing, thereby allowing all persons an opportunity to be heard on this matter.
SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE PUBLIC HEARING.
